Meet Lisa: Dolly’s Proprietor, Vibe Curator & Chaos Management Queen

Updated: Nov 28

If Dolly’s had a spirit animal, it would be Lisa — equal parts glitter, caffeine, and “I’ve had an idea!” energy. She’s the proprietor, the vision-setter, and the woman responsible for Dolly’s looking like a cross between a cosy tearoom, a vintage treasure trove, and the inside of a pastel-coloured daydream.

Contrary to popular belief, Lisa is not the one crocheting things, teaching workshops, felting woodland creatures, or wielding a glue gun like a wild warrior.

No, no — she leaves that to the experts.

Lisa is the one doing the important things:

✨ Staring at a shelf for 20 minutes until it “feels right”

✨ Ordering cakes like a woman who knows her priorities

✨ Choosing which coffee to serve (only the bougie beans, obviously)

✨ Styling the shop to within an inch of its life

✨ Keeping everyone fed, watered, and vaguely sane

The Dolly’s Design Brain

Lisa has one superpower: she can walk into the shop and instantly see what needs changing. A cushion gets nudged. A lamp shifts three inches to the left. A display is rearranged. A colour that is “just slightly wrong” gets vetoed.

Within moments, the place looks perfect again.

She doesn’t craft — but she designs.

And trust us, there’s an art to that.

Cake? Coffee? Lisa Has You.

Running Dolly’s means running on caffeine, sugar, and optimism, and Lisa handles two of those. Her ordering is legendary.

She knows which cakes sell, which ones crumble, and which ones people pretend they’re not coming back for tomorrow.

She knows which coffee smells like heaven and which one smells like a mechanic’s workshop.

If Dolly’s tastes good, smells good, and looks good, it’s probably Lisa’s fault.

She Does Not Do It Alone (and She’ll Tell You That Herself)

Lisa will be the first to say she isn’t running Dolly’s on her own.

She has help — wonderful, capable, talented help — and she’s grateful for every single bit of it.

She’s more like the captain of a cheerful, slightly eccentric ship:

  • She sets the direction

  • Others keep the sails up

  • And together they keep Dolly’s floating fabulously

Her Personal Style: Vintage Floral Meets “I Just Had Another Idea”

Lisa isn’t a crafter but she is a curator of vibes.

She’s the one who ensures Dolly’s is whimsical without being weird, vintage without smelling like mothballs, and cute without causing tooth decay.

Her brain runs on colour palettes, cake menus, and sudden bursts of “Oooh, move that over there!”

Why We Love Her

Because Dolly’s wouldn’t be Dolly’s without her.

She’s warm, funny, organised in a slightly chaotic way, and always ready with a smile and a slice of something delicious.

She creates the atmosphere that makes people walk in and say,

“Oh this place is SO cute!”

And then she quietly pretends she didn’t spend three hours making it look that effortlessly perfect.
