Create a Trio of Easter & Spring Decorations with Liz Wellby

About the Workshop

Decorative hangings and decorations shouldn’t just be for the winter months and Christmas and with that in mind, Easter and the onset of spring will be our inspirations - think Eastern European Folk Art, hares, Easter bunnies and eggs and spring leaves and flowers. We will create a number of beautiful hanging pieces of various sizes and explore different methods of construction whilst using metal foils. Metal foils are great materials to explore enabling you to cut your designs with scissors and emboss them with specialist tools or simply pencils and biros. Once you have explored the process you will be able to continue making further designs at home. Your hanging decorations are sure to take pride in your home, or if you can bear to part with them, they’ll make great gifts. Experienced artist, tutor and maker Liz Wellby will be your tutor for this session. This workshop will suit people with a range of creative experiences and all levels of ability. Included: Step by step tuition Most materials and use of equipment - please bring 1-2 empty tomato purée tubes or similar foil tubes Welcome tea or coffee Good company and creative chat Workshops are on the 1st floor via steps.
